Pull Ups?

When did you or when do you plan to make the switch to pullups for your LO? Just wondering if they work well. Wondering too if they are more expensive.?

    With Carter we did diapers to pull ups to underwear (duh).  We started pullups around his 2nd birthday if i remember correctly and he wore them daily for about a month before we went to underwear.  We switched to underwear b/c sometimes he would just get lazy and not use the potty b/c there was no consequence with a pullup.  So he would continue playing b/c he didn't want to stop, and would pee in the pull-ups and ask to be changed.  However, he still wore pull-ups at night.

    With Ava, we went straight from diapers to underwear at 25 months.  She wears diapers at night, simply b/c i still have a ton of them and want to use them up.  When I'm out of them, i'll buy pullups for nightime use only, b/c they are easier to use than diapers.

    Yes, they are more expensive.

    Kerrin--I think you need to come to my house as the potty whisperer:)  I would love to have Aerin potty-trained at 25 months because that means a year from now we could be out of diapers!!!

    We started my son at around 18 months and he just recently switched to big boy underpants. He's now 29 months. At night, we still use the nightime pull ups.

    I can take no credit.  It was daycare pushing it.  i just followed their lead.

    I think SC was about 2 or so when we switched and not as pullups, just as a diaper.  She was SO tall it was hard to lay her down to change her, this made it easier for me

    Gavin has just started wearing pull ups in the last month.  He is potty training hard core at daycare but not so much at home.  I really don't like pull ups very much.  They are frickin expensive and a PITA IMO.  But whatever, daycare prefers that they use them so I'll deal with it for a few months.  Oh, and we don't use them at bedtime b/c he leaks through.
