How much did you pay for your LO's birthday cake?

Sorry about all the birthday related posts.  I'm obviously starting to plan one for my LO hence all of my b-day related posts. 

Just wanted to get a feel for the norm on prices?  and also how many people (kids and adults) were at your party?

    I don't have a total yet, but I know I'll spend to much!  We're not really doing much for DS's bday (a small family dinner) so the cake is going to be a splurge - from our favorite bakery - a mahi cake with a little mahi for DS to smash.  DH was catching these while I was in labor - we found it fitting!

    We splurged on Eli's first birthday cake.  We got a large cake and smash cake from a local bakery and I think they cost about $50.  Maybe $60, I can't remember exactly.  We had about 35 ppl and had more than enough cake. 

    For his second birthday I made his cake, and I have no idea how much I spent.  Maybe $20?

    $20 at BJ's. It looked like a 3rd grader made it, but it was delicious. I got a $2 "mega cupcake" from HT for her smash cake.

    I got the free HT smash cake for her photos.

    I paid $23 for a dozen mini cupcakes and a jumbo cupcake for her at her actually party. I was mad at myself because it didn't even taste good, I SO could have done a better job myself. I wish I had just used Costco their cakes/cupcakes are so cute and cheap.
