Baby Haircuts

In spite of the tremendous amount of hair I have, Polly's hair is just not grown in yet.  Its def more like DH's - same color as his, too.  Am I the only one with a 20 month old that just doesn't need a haircut?  I don't even think we are close.  I say we make it to at least 2, maybe longer.

  • Geneva gets trims, not cuts. :)

Her bangs were getting in her eyes so I trimmed them back and I have actually trimmed some off the back to even things up. She was looking a little mullet-y a while back, so I got the scissors and went to work. She still doesn't have a whole lot of hair.

  • SAME HERE!!!  Granted, Violet is only 15 1/2 months, but it doesn't appear as though she'll need a haircut until at least her 2nd birthday.  And it doesn't help that her hair is really thin and wispy - like her dad's.  My hair is thick.  On the bright side, I think her hair is developing a bit of a curl which is oh-so cute!

  • Tess looks like her hair doubled in quantity recently.  Her hair is kind of weird, I'm thinking it's time to take her to have it shaped up and trimmed.
  • Charlotte still hasn't had a haircut either.  I'm wondering if I should get it shaped up a little bit to make it look more "girly".  But she has the cutest curls and i'm afraid to lose them.  Plus she has a crazy cowlick in the front (as do I) so I really think bangs are out of the question for her.  I'm really at a loss with her hair.

P's hair is just crazy.  Like St Paddys hangover bad some days.  Its wispy and fuzzy and defies gravity.  There is no one general direction for which it will lay.  One week she wants a barett and one week she refuses.  Barrett days are OKish.  Piggies are a joke.  Like 5 strands of hair in one rubber band.  Good hair days are when her little back curls "behave", which only lasts until a car ride or nap time.  I guess its cute for a baby but I dread the days when she cares what her hair looks like.  I anticipate tears and frustration.

LOL!  Sounds like our girls have the same type of hair.  The only sure-fire way I can tame it is to do one piggy on top, and I'm not the biggest fan of that look.  But often it's our only option.  Charlotte didn't stand a chance for good hair with my husband and I as her parents :)

  • Ethan and Jack take after dh with their hair, too.  Ethan had his first cut, and it was just a trim, at 18 months.  Jack looks to be on the same track as Ethan.

  • Our son is almost 19 months and you can hardly see his hair.  He may never need a haircut.  I figure it is one less thing to spend money on and it keeps him looking a little more like a baby for longer!  It is funny though.  He has a couple hairs that stick out and are like 4 inches long.  I guess these are the ones that never fell out.
