T&P for my Brother Please

My brother has been suffering severe migraines for months now. He had a heart transplant 7 years ago and they think the migraines are connected with his immuno-suppresent medications. He has been battling a migraine for days and is at Duke ER now. They have already done a head CT scan and are planning to do a spinal tap to check for cryptococcal meningitis.

It's a fungal meningitis that many immuno-suppressed patients get. There is a treatment for it, but it comes with a lot of side effects and then he'll be on another maintence medication daily.

Unfortunately due to his medications he takes daily for his transplant there are only a few medications they can give him for some relief.

I hope the doctors are able to diagnose him quickly and start him on a treatment plan that will be effective for him! Thoughts and prayers for him!

I'm so sorry! thats got to be so overwhelming for him knowing there are only certain things that can be done....i hope they get hiim soem relief soon!!
