I had GD last time around, so I had to be checked early this time around. I was feeling sick before I ever drank the liquid, and after I got half-way through the bottle I couldn't keep it down. I felt a ton better after I got sick, but I had to beg my doctor's office to let me try again so I didn't have to reschedule my appointment. Thankfully I kept the second bottle down. I felt pretty miserable the rest of the day though. On a great note, I got a surprise u/s . . . I didn't know I was getting one, but it was so neat to see my baby actually resembling a baby (and not a blob like at 7 weeks!).
Re: 1 hour glucose test + morning sickness=awful!
I am wondering about this because I had GD last time around but my dr. said she will still do the test at 28 weeks this time around. I don't have my first appt until 8 weeks and I am definitely going to ask then but I hope they do it early this time so I know. I do know that if I do fail the 1 hour test there is NO WAY I will put myself through the 3 hour again...that was horrible for me.
I hope you passed the test
My doctor said that I'd have to take it early, and if I passed early, I'd still have to do it again later.
this exactly. I failed the 1 hour and took the 3 hour. passed, THANK GOD. But was told if I threw up during the test it was an auto-fail. Which I almost did throw up. I had to walk outside and get air to make myself feel better and barely made it through.
I hope you passed!!
