So help me god if the kids down stairs wake up my babies I will be so mad & I won't even know what to do. They are banging their shoes on the walls which is echoing into my apt. They are skateboarding around the front of the bldg, again, echoing into the apt.
I can't wait to buy a house!

as much as you hate the noise and as frustrating as it is...its probably good that LO sleeps with background noise. i make it a point not to hush my DS as much and have something on while she sleeps (washer or dryer, tv up loud enough for me to hear it, etc.)
and i have a house and it doesn't necessarily get better. since 9:30am today my neighbors have been using the weedwacker. they're STILL using it and its 2:00pm. i had no idea they had a weed infestation
I said the same thing when we lived in apartments. We finally moved into a house (rental) back in June. Loved it until the neighbor's dog started barking, right outside our bedroom window! Our neighbor on the other side has a really loud motorcycle which he drives to work at 6 in the morning.
There's going to be noise no matter where you live. It sucks big time. Just make the best of it though. Because my neighbor's dog barks right outside our window, it's prompted me to go and talk to them. 90% of the time they now remember to lock their dog up on the other side of their house...and I've made a new friend who has kids too. We're in a really nice neighborhood and you would think that we wouldn't have issues with noise and dogs barking but we do...it's everywhere.
Good luck and I hope those kids don't wake your baby. I totally understand being frustrated. My LO has been screaming non-stop for a week now thanks to an ear infection and the slightest sound wakes him up right now.
