1st Trimester

So, 8 weeks pregnant, hardly any symptoms!

I am 8 weeks pregnant now and have had very few symptoms - brown discharge, so went to the doctor and things were fine and saw the baby! Now only really tired and sore breasts!! Is something really in there? Being my first one I feel like maybe more should be happening! No weight gain, no tight clothes or anything. Too worried or just lucky?

Re: So, 8 weeks pregnant, hardly any symptoms!

  • just lucky :)  i have the same thing ...it is nerve wracking..especially once you've had losses and we went through so much to have this baby (in vitro) so i understand how it can be nervous..luckily my doc is being awesome and wants me to remain calm as possible and given my history is doing ultrasounds every week
1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS
    IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010

  • Haha that's pretty normal I was that way too w/ my first LO.  Once they start kicking it feels real!
  • Sounds like you are one of the lucky ones!  Enjoy!

  • Sounds pretty lucky to me!  I didn't have anything "bad" symptom wise until 2 weeks ago.  Now I feel hungover, of course, without any drinking!  Pregnancies are all different- even between two in the same person!  I'd be thanking your lucky stars you feel so great!

  • I've been the same way so far... 7 weeks and only skin breakouts, sore boobs, some bloating, and an occasional mild wave of nausea/loss of appetite, although I've been ridiculously exhausted (but I can deal with that!)  I'm hoping I'm just lucky as well (knock on wood!), but who knows... one friend of mine didn't have morning sickness until AFTER 8 weeks in both of her two pregnancies.  Everyone is different!
  • LUCKY!  I'm jealous.  I feel like I've been hit with them all... fatigue, morning sickness, bloating, cramps, constipation, my face looks like I'm a damn teenager, cold all the time!  This has been going on for about 3 weeks for me.  Enjoy it!  Especially if it lasts!
  • Lurking..throwing in my two cents: I was the same I had no symptoms and did not gain any weight in my first trimester.. However week 8 I had a bad flu and only threw up once my entire pregnancy so far was when I was sick.. Nothing really "kicked in" till about 14 weeks + Enjoy it while you can and I totally understand the "are you sure somethings in there?" thought..There is, dont worry! :)

You could very well just be lucky. My only real symptom was sore breasts (and acne, yuck). I started to get bloated after 10ish weeks.. but really still only feel pregnant now because she's kicking me! It's been a breeze.. and I hope you are a lucky one too!

Sounds lucky to me! I didn't have any symptoms either besides sore boobs (and acne, yuck!). I started to get a little bloated after around 10 weeks, but even now I only feel pregnant when she's kicking me or making me uncomfortable, lol.  This has been a breeze for me.. and I hope you stay one of the lucky ones too!

  • your lucky . I was just like this most of my first tri with DD except for a few waves of nausea and lack of appetite so i lost 8 lbs first tri. Im kinda the same this time around just really tired. enjoy this and rest up while you can
  • Girl, I definitely think we are some of the lucky ones!  I haven't had any symptoms either, really.  Very sore breasts, minor bloating, and gasiness!  That't it!  I am definitely counting my blessings each day because who knows when that all could change.  Good luck!
  • Sounds EXACTLY like me!! Except I do get pretty bloated by the end of the day. And I have gained weight but I'm just going to attribute that to water weight.. or possibly the sweets I've been craving :)

  • I feel exactly the same way and it's nice knowing others are feeling it also.  I always hear if you have bad morning sickness you are having a healthy pregnancy but I feel virtually nothing. I think I'm more tired and I've been eating more, boobs are a little sore, gassy sometimes but that's about it. The only other thing I have is bloat but the nurse said with twins even though I'm 7 weeks it's like I'm 10 already size wise so I'm assuming I'll grow bigger faster.  I saw the heartbeats and everything was ok last Monday so I'm hoping that I'm lucky and will feel this good throughout the pregnancy.  Good luck to everyone!!

  • Just lucky.
  • You're only 8 weeks. Give it time. I was in regular clothes until 23 weeks. And I barely had any symptoms in my 1st tri. Or 2nd tri, really. Enjoy it.
  • I know I feel similar. last week I felt hung over, like someone else said!  I was glad to hear somebody else explained it that way!  Although I have felt really gasy, mostly burping.
