I think that's what I can call my reaction to a conversation with a co-worker about daycare prices in our area.
Her little boy goes to the least expensive place in town and she pays $55 a week. I'm actually familiar with the owners and directors of that place, and they are wonderful.
Now, I have no idea if her rate was adjusted to income, but she told me even the most expensive places around here are abut $120 a week.
We have a lot of research to do, but I'm suddenly optimistic.
