I had terrible swelling my with last pregnancy!!! I wore compression hoses and it was just awful! But by the time I left the hopsital they were back to normal. I just hope this time I don't have to deal with it at all!!! Good luck!
Mine went back to normal after the first two. That being said...right after I had them...my feet were HUGE!! Like more swollen than anytime when I was pregnant...ogre feet really. My doc told me it was temporary and would go back to normal in a week or two....he was right.

This happened to me too..I didn't have ANY swelling during pregnancy, but as soon as I had P, my ankles and legs blew up. They finally went down Wed (1 week and 1 day pp). There is hope!
I did not think I would have swelling this early in the game, but it is freaking annoying. I could not fit into any of my shoes a couple times and it feels like I have man hands, they are swollen and chubby. I can't even where my wedding rings anymore. So I am single and pregnant.
I feel like Violet on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory after she eats the gum...minus turning blue! Water retention has been my enemy since week 19. I hope my future pregnancies by pass this lovely side effect.
Re: Cankles vs. Sexy Ankles
Amen.
LOL, the doctor told me it was only temporary. I had fine feet and ankles until about 36 weeks....then it all went downhill and FAST!
She promised me I'd be wearing sandals this summer.
oh god it never occured to me that the cankles wouldn't go away...please give me my sexy ankles back...
