Daycare/Babysitting in Fort Washington
I was wondering if anyone had any insight to daycare/babysitting in the Fort Washington area....this is our first child and we are very new to this research. I have an appointment with Play and Learn....does anyone have any comments on them??
I am nervous about the daycare thing, I think I like the idea of the private babysitter better.....Luckily I only need 2 days a week!!

I visited the Play N Learn in FW and thought it was terrible. When I walked in the director ignored me while she was ordering some drapes or something.Then we went up to the infant room. Apparently a teacher had called in sick- she said her sub was on the way. There was one teacher sitting there with like 8 babies in highchairs. (2x allowable ratio). That director should have been up in the room helping if that was the case, and canceled my tour. I found that to completely unacceptable.
Also, It was dark and weird. It seemed highly unorganized and the kids didn't seem happy in any of the rooms.
Hey Diddle Diddle on Bethlehem Pike is really nice & homey (and affordable) but very very small. I'm not sure how old your child is but I know in the infant room they have a wait list until 2011. They may have some availability in the older age ranges.

Not sure if it is convenient for you but my baby is at Goddard in Horsham. They've been great so far.
