Please don't flame me if this is stupid. I'm new to having my own washer AND to cloth diapering.
I hear different instructions for washing CDs that include pre-rinsing or soaking or extra hot rinse, etc. This is a picture of my washing machine's control. I also can choose
hot, cold or warm water, and low, medium or super sized load.
How do I wash CDs (prefolds, fitteds, covers, pockets and inserts) when these are my controls?
Any and all help is so very appreciated! Thank you!!
Re: Probably stupid ? about washer & CDs
For mine I do:
- Choose cold water and then go to the Normal's "Rinse" option and it will do a cold soak. If I leave the lid open I can soak a bit longer (won't spin until lid down)
- Choose Regular Normal and choose hot (mine is hot with an automatic cold rinse afterwards)
This is how I do a cold rinse and hot wash.
And not stupid question at all. I think you're brilliant for posting the picture!
Mine looks like that too.
What I do is put the dirties in, turn it to the Rinse line that is at the end of the Regular Wash and keep the lid up so that it just fills. I soak the diapers in that overnight (its cold btw). In the morning I drop the lid and it will spin the water out. I then turn it to hot water and do the regular cycle with the proper amount of cd detergent. My washer then has the option of extra rinse (its another knob that you turn to yes or no) so I turn that to yes. If you don't have that you can just turn the knob to the rinse again like you did for the soak. Hope that makes sense
