I scored an awesome Twilight puzzle at B&N last night for $2. My dad is just as obsessed with Twilight as any teenage girl so we are going to build it together, but he said we should glue it and frame it when we are done.
I LOL'd at this but I will entertain his idea. How exactly does one glue a puzzle once its finished? Is their special glue? Do you have to do the actual puzzle a special surface?
Re: Has anyone ever glued a puzzle?
Mod Podge. Its great stuff.
When I glue a puzzle, I will Mod Podge the back first and let it dry completely. Then I will flip it over onto wax paper (for easy removal) and Mod Podge the front. Let that dry at least a day, then Mod Podge the front again.
Make sure it dries completely, because it can be tacky and stick to the glass, wax paper, etc, if it isn't dry. A good latex sealer on the front can also help keep the tackiness down. You can get that in the same isle at the crafe store as the Mod Podge.
ETA: In the product link above they say the cure time is 15 minutes. Thats crap - maybe that the time it takes to be dry to the touch. I usually have to wait at least 24 hours before it isn't super tacky any more.
