The result of my first blood HCG was 271. Six days later it was 4000. The doctor said they were hoping for 1700-2000. When it came back at 4000 I was surprised. I didn't have the nerve to ask why it was double what she expected....the nurse is sort of a jerk.
Any thoughts on what would cause it to be so much higher than expected?

High numbers are good. Don't stress.
High numbers mean nothing... doubling in 48-72 hours is good...
