Leaking or just heavy discharge?

I have read a few posts on here about leaking...I have noticed my underwear being a bit wet pretty often...and it is thin not like heavy discharge but I just assumed it was discharge....but with all the stress I have been under lately I guess I have been more nervous about preterm labor....

can anyone give a good way of determining which I am experiencing? without actually coming over and getting a gander of my skivvies?

    smell it... if it has an odor then it's discharge or urine... if there is no odor you could be leaking and I'd call my doc.

    My OB told me to smell my underwear, I have the same problem as you.  If it smells like urine it is urine, if it doesn't have a smell, go in and get checked out.  My underwear is ALWAYS wet, but I've had them check me like 4 times already and it isn't A-fluid.  GL!!

    Mine has been wet, and doctor said that is normal.  Mine happens a few times a day sometimes once a day.  If it was a leak would happen all the time, every time u stand, move, ext...and it wouldn't stop.  But always call if u not sure, thats what the doctors get paid for.

    If it's colored or smells it's not likely amniotic fluid. Also, leaking wouldn't stop. It'd be a constant, nonstop feeling of wetness and leaking.

    ditto pp. My doc also told me that with fluid, generally you feel it leak out. Like it feels like you peed in your pants a little.
