DH never had an Easter basket!

I got everything for DD's Easter basket today at Target and DH couldn't understand why I was so excited to show him everything I got.

Turns out his parents didn't do Easter baskets.  They just gave the kids a chocolate bunny.

And it's not like they were hurting for money so that's not the reason.  They are very wealthy. 

I told him he'll have to get used to MY family's traditions then because they were definitely more fun!  

I wish Easter would hurry up so she can get her basket!

    My DH is the same way.  No basket or egg hunt.  I already bought DD's Easter basket items too and was excited about showing him.

    They didn't do egg hunts either.  Or dye eggs... 

    I got her the Sesame Street egg dye kit.  I'm so excited to do it with her.

    My friend's mother asked my mom if it was ok to give me an Easter basket in the 6th grade. That was my first and last.

    My sons and husband get them every.single.year.

    DH said he only ever got 2 or 3 in his whole life.

    My mom sent them to me until I had DD, so for 30 yrs.

    I think Easter baskets, bunny, and egg hunts are an American tradition. My husband comes from an Italian family and they never did any of those traditions. Now that they have been in the US for so many years they do baskets and egg hunts for the grandkids.
