DD doesnt like sippy cup much, any suggestions?

She will take a couple sips and throw it to the ground. I have tried putting half apple juice half water to see if that will help her like the taste but no dice. I am using the Platex sippy and just recently bought the Nuby one with the straw, but she hasn't figured out the straw yet (she just chews on it). Eventually (well after 1 yr) she needs to only have a sippy cup with cow milk instead of bottle or BFing and we need to figure out something. Please help!

    Have you given her sips from your cup?  That's what I did first with both my girls so they could figure it out.  Then I gave them the sippy with no valve and then I put the valve in.

    To teach her to use a straw, get some water in the straw (you know put your finger over the top and tap it in the glass) then put the bottom of the straw in her mouth and let her suck as you release your fingers so it kind of drains in her mouth.  Worked for both my kids.

    try one with a straw. My dd was having a difficult time with the traditional sippy so I bought a straw one (the special Easter bunny one actually) and she LOVES it! I bought a Munchkin one yesterday as well since it is a no spill kind.

    Maybe try the take and toss kind. That is the only one DD will drink from. Because she doesn't have to work to get it out.
