At what point does DC switch to booster seat?

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months
DS is in a convertible car seat right now.  DS#2 is due in July.  tThey will be 21 months apart.  I am wondering if I will need to get a 2nd convertible carseat or if DS#1 will be moved into a booster seat by the time DS#2 is ready to go into the convertible carseat.

    YES YES YES you will need another convertible seat.  DS has to be a minimum of 3 years and 30 pounds (I think those are the numbers) to switch.  Also, keeping them in a 5 point harness is by far safest.

    I thought it was 4 and 40? maybe thats for backless?

    You will absolutely need another convertible seat. Backless boosters are to be used at a minimum of 4 y/o AND 40lbs. I would highly recommend getting something like the Graco Nautilus which is a convertible seat, a highback booster and a backless booster all in one. It will be the last car seat that you will need to buy.

    DD just turned 5 and still fits the height/weight requirements for her convertible carseat.

    Thanks everyone.  DH was just looking at the Graco Nautilus and that looks like an awesome seat.  it may be what we end up gettting as a second seat and just buy a second booster when the time somes that we need one (we have an Evenflo Triumph right now)
