Apparently they didn't know of a pharmacy that could get me the progesterone suppositories in my town so we had to drive back to right near the RE office after lunch. I JUST made that trip this morning. I went from a full tank of gas down to 1/4 tank and I have to go down there again on Monday.
I wish my town were more convenient and had more resources. LOL
Re: We made the same 1 way hour trip twice today
Definitely check to see if any of your local pharmacies are licensed to make them. Only those licensed for compounding will be able to.
If they are not licensed, they may contract with compounding pharmacies who would ship your prescription to them. Since the prog sups usually need to be refrigerated, most places won't ship them to your home.
That stinks. . . oh wait. Nope that's my child, he just told me poo poo. nice.
That sucks. I hate having to make more than one trip somewhere and have little gas at the end of the day.
We're going to check with the Walgreens (and all other pharmacies) here to see if they'll make/order them because that was just crazy. The nurse from the RE said she didn't have any numbers of pharmacies here that had them and she wanted me to start them ASAP.
I'll have to ask about mail ordering - that would be awesome.

One of my migraine drugs is only obtaininable in the correct form (suppository--because it's to cure the nausea so taking a pill doesn't really work) from compounding pharmacies...
but after a run around, we took the script to the wee mom&pop pharmacy here in town...I have to give them a week's notice. ANd sometimes they will be in 1/2 doses (so I have to take 2@5mg each instead of 1 @ 10) but they can find a way to get it for me...which is SOooo much easier than the compounding one.
(but rite-aid, wallgreens, etc? they were all NOT helpful)

Mine came from the fridge at the pharmacy so I just put them in my fridge when we got home. They didn't tell me to though. I'd rather be safe than sorry. ::shrugs::
