So DH and I had a bit of an argument last night. Today at work he sent me flowers along with a really nice apology card that almost made me cry. The flowers are beautiful and my favorite, tiger lillies.
Then my General Manager walks by and asks who they are from and I say my DH, then he turns to a much older guy, as in he could be my grandfather old, I work with named Dave. Dave and I are friendly and shoot the sh!t often when there is downtime in the office. Well General Manager says to Dave "I see you are trying to keep the woman bearing your child happy" and kept making references that this is Dave's baby!
All I could do was sit there, laugh extremely uncomfortably and turn red. I usually have some pretty ballsy comebacks but that one totally threw me off. Way to take a good feeling and flush it lol.

Re: Feelin' good to totally awkward in 15 seconds (mini vent)
Yes so I've learned over the years. I'm the only female working in an office building of older men and have what I had thought pretty much desensitized myself to off the wall comments, this one just totally caught me off guard. The way he said it just made it really kinda creepy and awkward.
It's not a big deal, I've heard much much much worse. It was just a total wtf? moment lol.
Def. a WTF moment, but that's one of the perils of working with a bunch of guys I guess, LOL. DH and I both worked as bouncers when I was pg with DS, and I was one of only 2 girls who did that job. One of our fellow bouncers used to joke with DH and I that the baby was really his, and he would even tease patrons, rubbing my belly and saying it was his "love child"... Didn't help that my work nickname was "Mistress"...
Best thing you can do is have a snappy comeback, since guys seem to take those pretty well. Just make sure Dave is OK with you joking so you don't hurt his feelings, but maybe next time just say "Well, we haven't told DH yet, so let's be sure this stays our little secret, OK?"
