I think it's hilarious & ironic the things we won't feed our children, but we'll eat in a heartbeat. So what are some things you won't give you child, but you just love?
I have recently discovered a love for Pepsi Throwback and I certainly wouldn't give J the caffeine & sugar in that. I also love me some Sweet Tea on occasion!
Oh, just...everything I eat, lol! I dip everything in ketchup, rarely eat fruits and veggies, and love Dr. Pepper with an unhealthy (literally) passion. I eat way too many sweets and and I love WHITE stuff- I am having trouble converting to whole grains.
We're going to have to have a pantry makeover when Maddie gets old enough to realize that her food/snacks are much different than Mommy's. I took step #1 a couple of weeks ago by eliminating soft drinks in the house...soooo hard! I crave them so bad during the day!

I had a sip of my DH's Pepsi Throwback recenlty and it SOOOO took me back to my childhood. If I ever decide to drink soda again - I would be all over that stuff!
There isn't much that I eat or drink that I won't give Connor a bite or sip of. I won't give him a whole cup of soda, but I won't refuse him a taste either. Obvs I don't give him alcohol or anything like that but I don't see much harm in a taste. I also believe that in doing this I'm teaching him somewhat about moderation, that it's ok to have a little bit of some things as long as he doesn't over indulge all the time.
And yes, I didn't reply in the post a week or so about coffee, but he does get a sip or 2 if I'm having a cup. Flame away.

DH and I are diet soda FREAKS. We've got to stop keeping it in the house before Holly is aware of it. It's embarrassing how quickly we can polish off a 12 pack! I don't plan on letting Holly have soda of any kind anytime soon, but I hope we can get to the point where we don't keep any in the house, and it's a once in awhile treat for all of us! We'll see how that works.. Mama loves her aspartame. :-)
I try to eat better in front of my stepson, but I have been known to sneak in the pantry to snag a cookie every now and then! He's caught me a few times and scolded me and then asked for one! It's definitely tough, but we try to balance junk food with healthy food - lead by example....
I definitely have a double standard too. Soft drinks, coffee, chocolate, and just about everything else that I love is what I won't feed my child right now. But when she's older, I'll give her a taste. I wasn't fed very healthy things when I was little and I remember eating junk food like crazy. I wish that my parents would have taught me the importance of eating well and I probably wouldn't have the horrible junk food cravings that I have now.

Ben isn't allowed any candy, except for a sucker when he gets his haircut.
I've put a serious hurtin' on a 6pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs this week.
I don't remember that post, but J has had a sip of my coffee before (that I sweeten with Splenda & French Vanilla Creamer!!!)
This WEEK? I could do that in a DAY! Those are my absolute weakness, so I do not buy them. I'd weigh a ton!
