help me pick a dress....be honest PIPs

i have a family party to go to on sunday (a baptism) and i really dont want to buy a maternity dress. this is what i have that my bump can fit into. Which one do i look better in?

i feel like the first one makes me look fat not PG-but i love the style. also keep in mind that the polka dot dress i wore to the couples (babys parents) Engagement party-so they have pics of me in it in their album-yes i know im shallow

ETA:::sorry i forgot to mention ill have a black bolero (sp?) on over them and a more appropriate bra, i would never have bare shoulders in a church. The jacket *may* come off at the hall after for the party (DJ, dancing, dinner etc)

  • #2 is so cute on you!

  • Honestly? I don't love either of them. They are ok, but just ok.
  • Holy cow with the boobies!

  • I wouldn't care that there will be photos of you in the dress at a different function.  You're pregnant, it's expected that you'll have a limited wardrobe for some months.

    I love #2

  • IMO, number 1 is MUCH to boob-y for a baptism.
  • I voted #2 but only if you put a cardigan on with it. Neither one strike me as Baptism / family appropriate without that.

    Maybe I'm a prude though.

  • And why not buy a dress? It's not like you won't wear it. I wore dresses WAY more the summer I was PG then any other. Get a cute summer dress and you'll get a ton of use out of it.

  • I think #2 looks more flattering on you.

    I 100% agree with this.

Honestly, I would probably go buy a maternity dress.  They tend to have more chest coverage.

I don't think that will cover it, unless it is going to be buttoned up the front.  I would look for something with a higher neck line.  Both of those strike me more as "night out with my girlfriends" or "date night" dresses.

  • both look good, but i really like the skirt on the first one.
