Admit it, anyone having "bump envy"?

I DO! To an extent! I love my bump (and the LO in it) but I wish it were higher! My mom was all belly from chest to pelvis at 24 weeks, but I'm pointing STRAIGHT out front. Sometimes I don't look right in maternity shirts so I don't wear a lot of them now. I know he'll inch closer to my chest toward the end but I still wish it were higher! :0)

p.s. My mom said that she had a really hard time breathing during the whole pregnancy BECAUSE she carried so high--she claims its because she's really short waisted. Either way...just a teeny bit jealous

I'll admit I'm actually a little envious of your bump! You actually look pregnant. I feel like I have to push my stomach out when I'm walking around so people can tell I'm pregnant and not just getting fat! I can't wait for my belly to round out some more.

Sometimes I wish mine would slow down a bit--even though I'm only 22 weeks, the twins make me look a LOT further along. I know I'm going to "burst out" in a little bit but I just want to slow down and enjoy it a little longer.

HAHAH..I was just telling my SIL that my bump is soooo low. I love it, but would REALLY love it if the little guy moved up a bit!!

We'll see what happens in the next couple weeks!

I hear you! I'm carring super low because I have such a long waist...I wish the wee one was up higher. I got an email telling me to expect my belly button to pop any day but it's nowhere near the popping stage!

So it isn't just me! Thank goodness! I'm at 23 weeks and my bump is kind of underwhelming. I look like I just ate too much, but no baby. I can't wait until people look at me and know I'm pregnant and not just gorging myself.

I HATED the chunky-look! I think it started taking more "baby bump shape" around 18 weeks, but either way, you'll be surprised how fast it pops out--when you least expect it!. PS. I don't think other people think we're chunky--I think we pregnant women are really the only ones who notice!

its soooo true about the breathing issue!! with my girls I think I carried much higher than this time. This pg is more comfortable with it being lower. But im curious - do i look like i carry high or low??

Im envious of the girls who have a bump and thats IT! i wish my ass & thighs didnt have to 'get pregnant' too! :P

Me. Total bump envy. I'm jealous of anyone who gets that cute, beautiful round belly without all the stretch marks.

My belly is round, but mostly looks like a beer-gut, and I've got stretch marks EVERYWHERE. Even the middle of my lower back has a good 6-7 stretch marks running across. How is my back stretching?!

ITS THE LONG WAIST CURSE! :0) I got that email too--I've had a "flattie" for about 3 weeks now and I'm watching for it to pop any day now...hopefully it does; I think outties on pg women are SO cute!

I'm pretty short waisted, and I'm already getting out of breath when I'm sitting down. I'm not carrying particularly low or high, I'm just belly from boobs to vag. Ha! I wish is was one or the other, high or low.

I can relate to your mother! I am carring hi (I'm also short waisted) and I have tons of trouble breathing! It also doesn't help that my 36D chest is weighing me down too!!! But I actually really LOVE my bump!

I have no waist because I'm so short...so he takes up the whole area from the bottom of my breast and down. Breathing can be so uncomfortable and I am only 27 weeks....so treasure the time he isn't all up in your ribs!

I like the way mine looks right now - I get a lot of compliments on how nice I look pregnant. At the same time, I am a little nervous to see how big I am towards the end. People keep making comments on how big I am or asking me if I am having multiples - it is starting to get a little annoying. I don't think I am that big, but who know? This is my first so I really don't have anything to base it off of.

I'm pretty happy with my bump. I think I'm carrying pretty high. Although I did feel self-conscious around my SIL when we went on a cruise last weekend. I had bought a bunch of maternity clothes from Old Navy and while they fit, they were pretty voluminous. They'll be great later on when the weather gets warmer and I get bigger.

But I felt weird because she wasn't showing at all at 17 weeks. She even said she wanted to avoid the bump as long as possible. I was paranoid about DH's friends comparing the two of us, thinking I was fat or something. I know, stupid, but I blame pregnancy hormones.

I am in the camp of feeling just "thick" and not really having a noticeable bump at all. I also am getting the sense that it will be my entire abdomen and not just a cute little basketball. I wish I had anything popping out right now. You really can't tell I'm pregnant if you don't know me really well. I am still able to wear regular jeans and tops as long as I unbutton and wear a bella band. Can't wait to get a nice big round belly - I won't look so strange when I rub it then
