My unpopular opinion: I think the "advice" posts are lame. If I wanted your advice (about anything) I would ask. True, I don't HAVE to read them (and after the first one I read on the Bump, I never read them again), but I think its annoying that people think their way of raising a baby/child is the ABSOLUTE way. How can someone tell the best way to punish, the best way to put them to bed, or whether or not to hold your baby "too much"? Every child is different and some methods won't work.
The "TMI" posts...NOTHING is really TMI on here....our bodies are all going through some funky changes and chances are someone else on here is experiencing the same "TMI" question you have!
I give kidless adults that go to Disney Land/World frequently the side eye.
OMG - me too! I don't understand it...I have heard that people go on their honeymoon there, WTF?!?!
Right? Who wants a Mickey Mouse-themed romantic sexfest?! Personally, Disney World sounds like a circle of hell for me...I'm secretly hoping LO won't be interested.
Also, I think being a stay at home wife is the stupidest thing ever. Get off your ass and make some damn money - even if it is just a little fun part time job.
Why would someone not want to be able to save more, do more fun things, vacation more, etc?
ETA: This is only for people who chose to be a SAHW. Not someone looking for a job, inbetween jobs, etc.
I secretly despise all of you who dont have to work 40 hours a week...haha, sorry
Not only do I work 40 hours a week - I usually end up staying late and probably avg about 42-45 hours PLUS a 15 hour a week commute.
EDIT: Clicked the post button to early...I secretly despise anyone who works close to home and gets to go home early to cook dinner, do laundry, have sex, anything....
BFP#1 10/26/09 EDD 7/4/10 Beautiful Baby Boy born 2 weeks late 7/16/10
BFP#2 8/23/11 EDD 5/11/12 Natural Miscarriage @ 6 weeks
BFP#3 5/22/12 EDD 2/10/13 Stick Baby!
Oh...and although I know that "everybody's different" and as long as everything's fine with LO, it shouldn't matter, I have pretty severe bump envy and am afraid that I'll have the B belly the whole time.
Almost 23 weeks and just a slight extension of my frontal area. Blah!

I tend to agree with this too - If you don't have a child, what the hell do you do all day long? Don't you get bored???

Agree. A FB "friend" of mine brags that she's a stay at home fiance.
I don't understand why someone wouldn't want their baby to be cute on their way home from the hospital.
I just don't get the "diaper and t-shirt the hospital gave me" go home outfits.
I did this with my first, but not really because I planned to. I'm pretty sure I had a cute outfit in my bag, but because I was in so much pain (hematoma on my labia that blocked my urethra) and dragging a catheter, I was more worried about getting home and stuff than if he was dressed cute. Oh well.

Umm, can of worms.
What if your husband makes PLENTY that you don't need to? If hubby makes enuff to provide vacations, and everything you possibly need to be happy, why not spend the time with your kids? Sheesh.
I'm annoyed by some people's posts complaining about their husbands, boyfriends, etc. All you are doing is making us wonder why you are with him in the first place because you are making him sound like such an a$$, therefore, making yourself look like an a$$ as well.
Also, I hate when people post about whether or not they orgasm and brag how their mates can't bring them to orgasm and how cool it is that they need to use toys. Definitely not something to brag about!
hmmm....well we aren't circumcising our son & I don't drink any amount of alcohol.
I don't understand throwing health and fitness out the window when you're pregnant. Sure have a cupcake, but take care of yourself at the same time. It boggles my mind what some women willingly put into their bodies, especially while pregnant.
Also, 37 weekers who are actively trying to go into labor. (this is mostly coming from two friends I have who have done this) Granted I am not there & I sure as hell know it is going to be miserable....but why would you want things to happen early? I guess my view on this could be because I want to do thing naturally and let my body do things on it's time....but if I can wait 37 weeks....I sure can wait a few more for our little man to come when he is supposed to.
Women on here who constantly complain about what a huge douchelord their dh is & then stick up for him after others post their opinions.

I'm talking about people that DON'T have kids. Not a Stay at Home Mom.
And, my DH makes enough money for me to sit on my ass all day every day but, I work so we can do things like go to Hawaii twice in 4 months, pay cash for the cars we want to drive, have no debt, pay off our mortgage soon, and have a substantial savings account. It is bettering our lives for me to work.

Unmerited advice just rubs me the wrong way!
EEK you are in 3rd tri!?!?! OMG, time is flying. ?
I agree.

I agree! I find myself coming back to 2nd Tri boards.
People who ask if their weight gain seems on target with others are actually bragging about how little they've gained.
I don't think pregnancy is an excuse to eat whatever the hell you want. I have splurged maybe 3 times total this pregnancy, maybe.
I judge those who only eat junk and chuckle that they will either never lose their baby weight or will be busting their ass to get back in shape.
THIS!
That was HILARIOUS!
Right? Who wants a Mickey Mouse-themed romantic sexfest?! Personally, Disney World sounds like a circle of hell for me...I'm secretly hoping LO won't be interested.
haha this was my quote from that post, b/c he was so damn tiny to fit in anything and so damn fussy I just couldn't have been bothered
hehe

I don't know how "unpopular" this opinion is, as I feel the same way
)
Exactly.
{says the girl who ate way too much at lunch today...but I swear that isn't typical}
I was just thinking that a second ago!!
I see "Flameful confession inside!" in the title
then I open it and it's something like: "I like cats!" or "I ate two bowls of ice cream last night!"
Freaking wasting my time!
Unless it says something like, "I hope someone assassinates President Obama", I don't want to see the word flameful in the title.

THIS THIS THIS.
My DD's bio-dad goes to Disneyland with his girlfriend a lot. They went 5 times in two months last year. Totally weirded me out.

haha, this too! and people who get an hour for lunch!
