I thought I would be all about baby shoes, but I am not at all.  I mean they are cute and whatnot but for some reason I have no desire to buy any.  So anyway my question is, when do babies need shoes?  When they start walking, or before that?

    I bought these tiny pink tennies that I just loved.   She'd kick them off pretty easily

    and then for xmas, I got her some black patent mary janes...

    right now she has some white tennies, but we rarely ever put them on.

    I have several pairs of shoes for when she's a bit bigger - like maybe around a year when she starts walking a bit.

    DH doesn't want to put shoes on Henry until he's at least crawling around, maybe even walking, at least with our help.

    They help to keep socks on.  My best friend used Robeez for her 1st for that purpose only before she started walking.  She will do the same for the 2nd.

    DS didnt' wear shoes until he started to walk. He started with those soft leather-soled shoes and once he was good at walking I got him some sneakers.

    Lots of baby clothes have feet covers, which was awesome for NY winter, but you can't put shoes over them and don't need to.

    those Robeez are pricey.   Cute, but pricey.   I only have one pair (that she can't fit yet)

    I got her a pair for her now 2 week old half off on Babysteals!  Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought them.

    I only like to put shoes on when I put her in tights. If you don't the tights look weird. So It's pretty much only a special ocasion kind of thing.
