I gave up soda for Lent! It hasn't been too bad, but there have been a few days I wanted one soo bad!
although I did drink one this past Sunday at my parents' anniversary party....my family says you can have whatever you gave up for Lent on Sundays though (I think they make things up LOL)
You should drink some tea/coffee to get your caffeine fix until you can wean yourself. There are some great flavored teas out there that are very budget friendly. Watch out for a headache this afternoon.

I really need to cut out the pop as well. My plan was to start on vacation but it has been too stressful since the vacation was during a move. I am dreading it when I finally start to quit! Good luck to you!
Re: Day 1 of quitting pop/soda/coke
I just saw this on the Dr. Oz web

It's the lack of caffeine reaction that scares me.
I don't drink coffee/tea or anything else with caffeine in it.
ooo, yeah that's a different story then! I gave up coffee too, but I still drink tea so that helps
