I'm eyeing up a LuLu Lemon gym bag to use as a diaper bag (see link)
https://shop.lululemon.com/Classy_Classic_II/pd/c/620/np/620/p/1921.html
It has a removeable pouch for dirty gym clothes, which I thought would be good for soiled baby clothes, it's a nice material inside and out that seems like it would wipe/clean easily, has a few different pockets on the inside and a couple open pockets on the outside, it's got handles and a shoulder strap ... all in all, it seems like it would be a decent bag and comparable to diaper bags I've looked at, just without an insulated place for bottles and I'd have to have my own change mat.
With all of that being said, I am a first time mom, so I'm hoping that you "already moms" out there can give me advice - would you go for it or would you buy a bag that is meant to be a diaper bag? What are the pros/cons of buying this sort of bag compared to buying an actual diaper bag?
Thanks so much for your help ~
Re: Nice gym bag for diaper bag?!
I'm not an "already mom" but I did get tons of input when I was looking for a bag. What I discovered is that everyone has different needs and if you can find a bag that meets your needs, go with it. It doesn't matter if it's officially a diaper bag or not. Many moms end up switching from their cutesy diaper bags to something more practical once they're in the swing of things. If you like it, I'd say get it.
I was almost about to get a non-diaper bag from ebags up until the last second when they offered their brand of diaper bag in the purple I wanted. No one will know the difference anyway. Go with what makes you comfortable.
