It's only 10 a.m. and I need a drink

It is one of those days. I do not know what the heck is the matter with my child, but she is driving me nuts! She can't ask for anything this morning. She has to scream about everything. And she had a massive meltdown when she demanded waffles and they did not appear in front of her instantaneously. She kept crying for her drink, pointing at it, then when I'd hand it to her she'd shove it away and scream. She cried for peaches and when I gave them to her, she started throwing them on the floor, only to have a total fit when I took them away. She gets mad if I touch her or speak to her. It's gearing up to be a fun day. A cup of coffee, a book and some time alone has never looked so good.

  • Oh no! We have had our fair share of those days. Could she be getting her 2 year molars? That is when Ryan started having those type of meltdowns. I hope she snaps out of it quickly!

  • I tried to look in there the other day and couldn't see anything. But it's very possible, especially since she's been getting up more at night.

  • Ugh, I feel for you.  I absolutely hate days like that.  I hope she takes a good nap for you and snaps out of it.

  • Oh man, I feel for you. We had a day like that yesterday, all she wanted was Sesame Street and foo foos (Blue's Clues) and I was too tired to argue. Plus she's kind of not into me lately anyway, she kept asking for daddy and just prefers him right now (I don't blame her, I'm huge and uncomfortable and kind of grouchy!)

When I left her with my dad this morning she seemed in better spirits, hopefully Ellie will have an attitude adjustment too!

  • DItto the molar thought!  DS was like this off and on for a little while a few months ago.  I kept looking in his mouth and never saw anything.  Then one day a few weeks later there were 2 2-year molars in his mouth!  He's been like that again off and on the last 1-2 weeks so I'm betting he's working on the top ones.  Hope you get to enjoy some mommy time soon!
