I weigh myself on a digital scale several times a week on a digital scale with a memory. I've done this for years and it's part of my weight management. I do this in the A.M. Before breakfast and stark naked. When they weigh me at the OB's office I'm wearing clothes, shoes and have eaten. So according to my scale I've gained 6 lbs, per his scale 9 lbs. Are you experiencing this as well? If so, which weight gain do you go with? I realize this is a trivial issue especially if it's kust 3 lbs but it's a little annoying when they document 9 lbs weight gain when I know it's not accurate.

Re: Do you weigh yourself? Discrepancy bwn doc's and my scale
Whatever one the doc says I imagine. I weigh myself at home but it's when I'm out of the shower so I'm nekkid. At the docs, you're wearing shoes, clothes, etc., so I think it does add to the weight gain.

Were you naked with an empty stomach when they documented your starting weight?
I don't weight myself for this very reason.
I have slight (well maybe more than slight) issues with gaining weight and knew I would become obsessed with any discrepancy I noticed.

I weigh myself regularly at home when I'm not pregnant, but for the sake of my own sanity right now I only weigh in at the doc's office. I also try to wear the same pants and shoes to each appointment to keep things from fluctuating. (My doc probably thinks I own one pair of black pants and ballerina flats--how sad.)
Sorry, I can't really help. I haven't weighed myself since before my wedding in May 09.
However, the first time my CNM weighed me, my weight was 10 lbs over where I thought it was (keep in mind that I hadn't weighed myself in months). Since then, I have lost 4 lbs. according to my CNM. I think of it as having gained 6 lbs since I think I started out lower.
It's not that big of a deal. As long as your dr. is fine with your weight, I don't see any reason to worry about it. (Especially 3 lbs....that could just be water!)
I have this exact problem. I weigh myself in the morning, before eating and right before I shower, so without clothes. But my doctor appts are usually after 6pm, so I've eaten alllll day and I've got clothes on.
Right now, my scale says I'm 135lbs. 2 weeks ago, my doctor's scale said 138.5lbs. So yeah...I'm going with MY measurement, not the docs!
I'm going to make an AWESOME big brother.
