Anyone's LO have one eye that opens wider than the other?

I was reading up on it because my LO has one eye that opens wider than the other and they attribute it to muscles strengthening at different rates.  Just wanted to see if anyone sees this in their LO...It isn't anything that is too obvious, but the fact that I stare at him all.the.time makes it noticeable to me:-)

    No, but my nephew has this. It's pretty severe with him but the pedi told them that is should correct itself by the time he's five. That's the extreme though, but I hear it works itself out.

    Could your LO also have tortocollis (tightened neck muscle) and/or plagiocephaly (flat spot).  These can cause asymmetry of the face.  DS has both, it is totally treatable and not something to freak out over.

    No, he doesn't, but I will definitely bring it up at his 4 mo. appt.  I am not too concerned as of now.  I guess I just want to make sure that it's *normal* or something that shouldn't be of concern.

    DS has this although it's hard to see.  It was much more obvious when he was younger and it was actually because of a flat spot on side/back of his head that was pushing one side of his face front further.  The pedi was not concerned and said things would even out once he was spending less time on his back.  He was right!

    If it is the upper eyelid that is drooping, you may want to ask about ptosis.  Easy to fix when they're little if that is what it is, but gets harder and can mess with vision if you let it go.  DS doesn't have it, so I can't give you any details, but something to think about.
