Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

What kind of laundry detergent do you use?

For you, not an infant.

Do you use fabric softener or dryer sheets? If so what kind? I think I want to change up my laundry.

Thanks!

Re: What kind of laundry detergent do you use?

  • I like Tide Total Care - seems to be gentle on my work clothes.

We don't use fabric softener. We use dryer balls in the dryer instead of dryer sheets - works for us!

  • Whatever is cheapest.

I prefer Arm & Hammer though.

  • For baby clothes, I use Method.  No fabric softner whatsoever.  She has incredibly sensitive skin.
  • I recently switch to Sam's Club's Member's Mark Eco-Friendly detergent.  I also use Bounce Dryer Sheets. When I was DS clothing I normally add clorox 2 or tide stain release.
  • i buy free & clear. whatever brand is cheapest. usually costco kirkland brand, but last time i was there ALL was cheaper so i went with that. i also use oxi-free on some loads. no fabric softener, except on sheets/towels, as it was leaving spots on my laundry.

  • All or tide free and clear for all of us. I use Allen's naturually for cloth diapers. I don't use dryer sheets. I use dryer balls.

  • Tide and we use the Kirkland dryer sheets and fabric softner from Costco.

  • I use Seventh Generation on all of our clothes. No fabric softener, no dryer sheets. My clothes have basically no static now and are very soft. I put 1/4 cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle to cut static.
  • I make my own detergent (I use the Duggar recipe but there are literally hundreds of permutations of the Fels Naptha/Zote/Borax/WashingSoda mix) and vinegar. No fabric softener.

Our clothes feel so much cleaner and lots of $$ saved.

  • Purex free & clear.  I use it for dd too.

I love this stuff.  My mom makes and uses it.  We just don't have a place to store a giant batch of it.

  • We use Crunchy Clean laundry detergent, vinegar for fabric softener, and dryer balls in place of laundry sheets. Dh and I love how clean our clothes feel! Whenever we do use dryer sheets Dh complains that his clothes make him sweat more. So much cheaper as well!

  • We use Purex Free & Clear detergent and Totally Toddler dryer balls.
  • I use All Free and Clear for everybody.

and no fabric softener. I use dryer sheets in every load except for Brady's stuff.
  • Generally I use Arm n' Hammer and Downy fabric softener. I hate the dryer sheets.

ETA: Downy Simple Pleasures line of fabric softener. I used to love their Lavender Vanilla but they don't make it anymore. :( Now I use the Lavender Serenity. It's pricey, but in my opinion SO worth it!!

  • I use Purex and Clorox 2 for Colors on all of our clothes.  No fabric softener or dryer sheets.
  • Tide the powder kind and Snuggle dryer sheets, mmm!
  • We use All Free & Clear laundry detergent and Bounce Free dryer sheets or dryer balls.  I have very sensitive skin so having a baby didn't affect our laundry routine.
