Maybe I didn't sense any stupidity (16&pregnant)

But I think Nikkole is mature (or a lot more mature than some people I have met). Jenelle on the other hand is just plain stupid. Smoking pot while pregnant? I want to punch her in the face.

    I don't like this season of 16 & Pregnant. So far it seems like they tried to find girls with a LOT more drama. These girls seem much more immature than the girls from last season.
    I must have missed the part of Jenelle smoking pot. I feel SO bad for that poor baby. That little guy around a lot of yelling and has such a horrible mom! I also felt really bad for jenelles mom. That poor woman, who wants to raise a newborn at her age??

    If you're comparing the two, then yes, Nikkole seemed like a mother of the year rocket scientist compared to Jenelle. But as an individual? Nikkole didnt seem mature at all I think she seemed dumb.

    Sadly, I think this season's cast is more in line with the reality of teenage parent's maturity level. Certainly not ALL teenage parents, but this season truly highlights the fact that these are children having children. Did you see the episode where the soon to be mother has never tied her own shoes in her life? It astounds me and more than anything makes me sad that we're not taking an approach in this country that teenage pregnancies are an emergency. It's really a crisis when you look at it closely.

     I agree, it does seem like MTV went and picked the most drama-fill teens they could find. Or that they are just throwing drama around just for the show. I don't think Jenelle mentioned the pot thing on the episode but someone posted a link about Jenelle smoking pot. She said, and I quote, "If smoking pot was harmful, then why do doctor's say it's okay for people to smoke it when nauseous?" or something along those lines. She's so stupid.

    This is what I don't get. Why did she seem dumb? I mean, at least she wasn't handing the baby off to her mom every second she could (that we saw anyway).

    I completely agree that teenage pregnancy is something that is becoming way too common and needs to be stopped immediately.

    Nikkole was mature?  Chasing after her verbally abusive baby daddy?  I don't think so...

    I don't know if I'd say she was "mature" but I think (at least what was shown) that she seemed to embrace her responsibility as a mom a lot more than Jenelle did and actually seemed to bond with her baby.

    I couldn't get over the comment that Jenelle made about how taking care of her baby was like being in prison!!! I mean, really?!? I feel so bad for her little boy. Even though at the end of the show she said she was going to start being home & taking care of him, you know that her poor mom will be the one who ends up raising him. Such a shame.
