Do you think no news is good news? I'm wondering if I should call tomorrow to make sure. I remember with my first, she didn't call me and everything was fine. My doc would probably call if the results were abnormal, right?
i had mine last tues and they said they don't call unless it's abnormal but "to call if we wanted anyway"...for peace of mind maybe call for their policies. GL
Every office is different. My office said they would call either way, and some won't call unless it's abnormal. But you're allowed to call and check on the results regardless.
I work in a private practice, and the docs I work for officially use the 'no news is good news' line. HOWEVER, it is not uncommon for test results to never make it back to the office (until a secretary calls the facility to request results, and some offices do this as little as once every few months or so), so there is often a delay between when they order tests and actually see results. For my own peace of mind, I would suggest always following up with docs... But that's just me.
(Not trying to make you worry, just my opinion)...
I would think that it means everything is fine because if it were something serious they would have called you right away! But it would bother me to know too so I would just call so you aren't worried about it anymore!
Good luck, I got that test done last Thursday so I will be having the same kind of week "waiting for the call"

more than likely no news is good news. My doc never called, just told me at my next reg appt.
I was told if something was abnormal I would have been called within 3 days of taking the test.
So - I bet everything with you is just fine and dandy :-) Yeah!! Congrats.
