I know us newbies are probably driving you guys nuts with questions, but FF can be kind of confusing the first go round! So if you don't mind... : )
First, I know you are supposed to get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep for your temp to be accurate.... I only got an hour of sleep before my alarm rang to take my temp this morning, but I was in bed (trying to sleep) for a few hours.... should I disregard it or count it?
Also, when it comes to timing intercourse, how should I proceed during the first month of charting? Will FF predict any dates this go round, or should I just work on the more the better mentality (until I've seen that I ovulated...)?
Thanks again for taking time to look at and answer my newbie questions! Y'all are awesome! : )
Re: FF Question
Don't discard the temp, just mark sleep deprived. FF will give you an open circle to represent that.
As for predicting ovulation, FF doesn't do that. It lets you know after the fact. You can use OPKs to supplement in order to get a better idea of your fertile time. Or you can just keep on having sex until FF gives you crosshairs and confirms ovulation.
Good luck!
When I first started charting I had trouble sleeping and I would wake up before my alarm. Ideally you should get three hours of sleep before temping. If it was just one day I would select "sleep deprived" and deal with the open circle.
The first month FF will not be able to predict AF or fertile days because you don't have a pattern/history yet. It may default to an average 28 day cycle but don't trust it. I would use this month to learn about your body and get in the hang of charting.
Good luck!
This and good luck!
