If you have "cool" skin tone

What color is your hair? I am a natural dark ash blonde and I always highlight my hair. I am in need of a change though. As a "cool" I feel there are not many other colors I could pull off, online it only says ash colors. Ash is very mousey.

I am so itching to go buy a box of brown hair dye but I am resisting it because I know it will probably look bad and then I will be mad at myself..... But I feel like a mom hag and I don't feel like spending $150 to get my highlights retouched even they are growing out.

Can you wear colors other than light/ash blonde???

    i think i am cool skin toned.  and i have dark brown w/auburn highlights.  i'm thinking i am darker than you'd want to go though.

    my hair is almost black, and my skin is so pale it looks gray. 

    I just realized thaqt I pretty much just described my avatar....I guess I look just like that, though!

     LOL funnies!

    I would LOVE to pull off almost black but I just don't think it would work with my freckles and light eyebrows- I'd have to really pencil them in Vato-style.

    I am envious of those girls that can pull off any color and can change it up regularly!

    I think if you get a neutral brown color, your natural coolness will come through since it will be a neutral (not warm) brown.  This will give you enough coolness to complement with your skin without being mousey or ashy.  i've worked in salons for years as a makeup artist and esthetician so from listening this is what I would guess.

    Red makes me look "ruddy" I have pink undertones. I think the only way I could pull off a red would be to make a drastic change and go to a really deep plum/burgundy tone. I would totally make a drastic change like that but I think DH would probably hate it

    ......maybe I'll just start buying wigs and wearing them like that girl on True Life that was in debt from buying wigs and furniture from Rent a Center.

    I have naturally auburn hair.  I have TONS of freckles and a "cool" tone to my skin.
