Best priced Diapers?

Where are you buying your diapers?  Where is the best price? Coupons?

I did not receive any diapers at any of my showers. Now I need to send DH out to start getting them.  I know we want to get pampers though.  That's about it.

  • I found this helpful:

I also checked Sam's website and according to what I saw there Pampers come out to $.16 each.  I signed up on the Pampers website today.  Not sure how often they send coupons but definitely worth a shot.

I would also make sure to get the Sunday paper.  I think there are normally always diaper coupons in there.

  • well with diapers you get what you pay for. Personally, I like Pampers Swaddlers for little new baby's. As for price, they're pricy $20 for a pack of 86 I think??? And those go fast b/c new babies hate being in messy diapers.  Once babies are in size 2 diapers I like huggies snug n dry....very absorbent, never had leakage problems...they are $20 for a pack of 80 I think??? I really can't remember I havent bought diapers in so long!!!

You can try the discount brands: I tried parents choice ( hated them, they leaked) Luvs ( they leaked on me) and white cloud ( also didnt like them)

I do all my shopping at wal mart ( its the only store in this town, literally.) I prefer to buy diapers on base ( we're in the Air force) b/c I can get a bigger pack for the same price of huggies.

  • Babies R Us often has coupons for large cases of diapers...you could try signing up for one of their email lists.  They sell Pampers.  I also hear that Target brand diapers are really good and affordable (like $14 a case, which = about 90?), but I cannot speak from my own experience.

We are going the cloth route (just picked out my stash last night and am getting ready to order it) and intend to buy Pampers for outings and maybe nighttime.  Once we use up the ones we got from showers (not too many) we will just clip local grocery store coupons or maybe tag along on my SIL's Costco membership.

  • We actually purchased our first diapers at BRU using coupons - they seemed to be the best place for us with regards to the amount of coupons they were shoving our way.

Now that we have a brand preference, we buy our diapers in bulk through Diapers.com.

  • I don't know if you have a Target nearby, but my Target was clearancing out their "bulk" section and I was able to get a box of Pampers Baby Dry (228) in size 1-2 for $18!  It might be worth a look.

  • I agree that Parents Choice sucks (although their formula is good).

I used Pampers Swaddlers when she was a newborn. I eventually switched to Target brand, which are great and much cheaper. But for night or a long car drive (couple hours), I use Pampers Dry. Target isn't good for overnight, but they're great during the day and a big cost savings.

I'll do the same for this baby.

  • I got a really good deal on diapers.com since it was the first time I ordered from them. they always have codes online or in magazines for $10 off of your first order plus free shipping.  And you can send your manufactures coupons to them and they will subtract that off also. Or I try to buy them when they are on sale at Target or BRU where if you buy so many boxes you get a $15 gift card.
  • I don't have any personal experience (I just registered for Swaddlers and I'll see how we like them) but my sister swears by the Target brand diapers.  She did loads of research and found them to be the cheapest and she says they work great.  I'll probably switch to those down the line.
  • If I have a $7 off wipes/diapers coupon, I get them at BRU.  Otherwise diapes.com.  They also take manufacturer's coupons there, you just have to mail them in a week in advance.  So far I've just used the BRU coupons though and we haven't found a ton of coupons.  Last Sunday didn't have any, so we'll try the paper again this week otherwise give up on that route.  I got a few from Pampers by signing up on their website- might try that.
  • We bought our first box of Pampers Swaddler at Sams last weekend for $37.00 for a box of 234 which equals .16 a diaper.  We'll watch for sales and coupons, but will probably use Sams for bulk
  • We used Pampers Swaddlers in the beginning, then moved to Huggies at about size 2 and switched to Kirkland (Costco) or Target brand at size 3.  Have stuck with them ever since.  Swaddlers are definitely more expensive but they are so soft and just seem more comfortable for little bums. Smile
  • A friend of mine swears by Costco brand diapers.  She uses them for her little boy who is one and a half now.  Cost isn't a concern for her, so she doesn't buy them just because they are more affordable. I will definitely check them out for my LO.

  • diapers.com has free next day shipping, and you can always find coupon or promo codes online. If you are buying in bulk they are definately a good place to check! My sister had her second baby almost 3 months ago and she says she buys bulk diapers and wipes once a month.
