I'm worried my husband is going to do a labor playlist

He's been reading (which I love) but now he's discovered that a lot of parents do a playlist for labor and during the actual birth.

There is only one problem. He wants to do Salt N Pepa - Push it. Indifferent I am worried. Really worried.

I swear on every bone in my body that if he does this and as soon as I can stop laughing and the epi wears off I'm either going to kill him or divorce him.

Ok, seriously when he first told me about this I started laughing so hard I started crying.

ETA: I forgot to tell you that he started doing the running man and singing it.

Eh, let him do it. With both my medicated hospital birth and my unmedicated home birth, I was so focused on myself and on what my body was doing that I wouldn't have heard music anyway. I did listen to some hypnobabies CDs in the early part of my labor with Alex, but once I got in the bathtub, I was pretty much only listening to my midwives.

That is awesome. I started a labor playlist a while ago and put a couple really cheesy inspirational songs from "Glee". I'll probably be too embarrassed to play it.

We had 3 play lists: an upbeat, a calm and a cheesy one

we never got around to the play list, I was waiting for the 'time' to happen and ended up with a c-section. Hubby still has them on file for me

I think he should only be allowed to play the playlist if he agrees to do the running man, Roger Rabbit, Cabbage Patch, and all the other fun little dance moves to entertain you.
