DS's DC has a 10 month old who doesn't yet crawl. The mom and dad are taking her into a specialist from what I understand, but just wondering if it is common.
Many children do not crawl.at. all. This is not a developmental milestone.
If they are going to a specialist, assuming per recommendation of their pedi then there are other issues concerning the pedi - not simply the 10 month old not crawling.
I don't know for sure, but DD is 9.5 months and not crawling! She really isn't into anything ,but standing. Her pedi wasn't worried at her 9 month check up. Said everything looks fine (strengh and whatnot), she just doesn't want too.

I can see that. She's DS's new BFF, she wants to follow him around, but just can't. I told the DC provider that I think she'll one day just stand up and start walking around.
I don't think it's that common...but I don't think it's something to panic over either. I have heard that some babies don't learn to crawl until 1yr. Also crawling is not a milestone...so some babies just go from scooting to standing to walking. If this baby is not moving or motivated at all to move...then I would be worried, but if he/she has good neck/head control and can sit w/o support than I wouldn't panic too much.
Jackson is no where close to crawling - he is just now able to sit unassisted for 30-45 second intervals. He is going for a physical therapy assessment on Monday (he has already been accepted by Early Intervention and has started speech therapy as well).
My DS started crawling 3 days before he reached 10 months...I always hear about all of the babies on here who crawl so much earlier so I was getting really nervous that he still wasn't. Now though? Now he can't be stopped- he's all over the place and into everything. My point is this-- it's so easy to find things to worry about with our LOs...like a prior post responded- unless the LO isn't showing any interest in mobility, I wouldn't worry too much.

Ds army crawls and just now is kind of interested in crawling..
He likes to roll everywhere he goes but the early intervention therapist said she isn't concerned with him being delayed...
