We are selling our condo and really eager to find a willing buyer. If you guys know of anyone who is interested, I would really appreciate it if you could pass the info along:

  • Hey Jen! I gave my hubby who is a realtor the MLS number and he is going to send the listing to some of his buyers who are looking for a condo. You never know :)!
  • Thanks for the support, ladies. We actually have a new home under contract right now. Keeping our fingers *majorly* crossed...if everything goes well, we should be closing at the end of March. It's in our same area, actually walking distance from our condo. So needless to say we are eager to sell the condo. Right now it's listed at $125k, but we are trying to get it approved as a short sale, so it could easily go for less as long as our lender approves it.

  • That's pretty much what we're doing, too.  We just closed on the house and we're going to put up our condo for sale and try to get it approved as a short sale by our bank.  We're going to be listing it this week.  We were going to rent it, but in this past month alone the bank imposed a flood insurance policy which is over $200 a month (we're not even in a flood zone, so I'm trying to fight that) and the association fee just doubled!  It's not worth keeping anymore.  The closing on the house couldn't have come at a better time!

    Yeah, considering our condo lost more than HALF it's value in the two years we've owned it, there is no reason to hang on to it any longer. Right now we wouldn't even break even if we were to rent it out, and god knows how many years it will take for it to regain the value of what we paid for it.

    We really don't want to get stuck paying both mortgages so we are hoping to sell ASAP so that if everything goes smoothly with the new house, we don't have to worry about continuing to pay for the condo.
