The Circus in Raleigh

Does anyone know what the prices are for kids tickets? I was on the website and I could only find adult prices, do they charge the adult price for kids? When we went to Disney on Ice, they did charge full price for kids 2 and up, so I am curious if it is the same for the Circus. We may be given two tickets and I am just trying to find out if Ashley would be free so my DH and I can take her (or if I will just be taking her if she needs a full price ticket).

Thanks!

Re: The Circus in Raleigh

  • We got tix for $18 each and I did buy one for Grady but he is 3 now. We did not buy him a tix last year but he had to sit on our lap which wasn't a problem as he stood most of the time.(and he had just turned 2 so we didn't feel that guilty!)

  • Thanks Coach, I will call. I was annoyed at Disney on Ice b/c I had to buy her a full price ticket ($18) and she was too small/light for her seat! When I sat her in it, it folded up on her b/c she was not heavy enough. Fingers crossed the circus is 3 :)
  • Uggh, the circus and Disney on Ice is the same company so I have to pay full price for her (lady's exact words, "if your child has celebrated their second birthday, they will need a ticket"). Oh well, she will be standing or sitting on my lap anyway since she is too light for the seat :) Thanks for your help!
  • No problem. When are ya'll going? We have tix for Sat. night. I can't wait. Grady remembers it from last year and still talks about it.
  • We just went in Greensboro and got tix that day and planned to have her on our lap.  But there was plenty of room so she got her own seat anyway.  We just pretended she was 2.  The lady at the box office just asked if she was going to sit on our lap.

  • Lah- I would honestly just say she is 2! its not like they will ask for a birth certificate and since u have 2 tickets already then the 3 of u can go. In my eyes she is 2! And if i remember corretly shes on the smaller side anyways!!

  • Thanks for reminding me!  I think we're going to try to take the girls (well, at least Natalie will be watching) this weekend.

  • Thanks ladies! We are going on Friday night and I just found out we only have two tickets. If I do have to buy her a ticket, do you think they would give us a hard time that her ticket is not in the same section as ours (we were given front row tickets and I plan to buy her the cheap seat tickets, if I have to)? She is petite (around 28 pounds) but I hate to lie. If they ask me if she is going to sit on my lap, I can say yes, b/c she will be, she can't fit in a seat.
  • The RBC center can be a stickler for getting downstairs but I think if you are holding her and more or less treating her as if she is under 2 you will be fine. I'd buy her a tix to get in then put it away. I doubt the usher is going to question it as long as she is not in any one else's seat.

That is what I was planning to do. I will get her ticket and then just hold her (I will have to carry her down to our section anyway) and I guess if they question it, I can explain she will just be sitting in my lap. Thanks!

Oh and we will be with a group of six, so I am hoping b/c we have so many people, they won't single her out.

  • I know u said u dont want to lie but if they try and give you trouble about going down there u and DH coudl walk seperate and u could say well her dad has her ticket if they question but i'm sure if u are carrying her they arent as educated about how big a kid is...worst case someone from your group goes adn sits down and sends their ticket out with another person and then u use it to get down to the section.
