Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Okay, seriously, WTF is going on? (AF related)

Since I weaned Sarah in the summer, my cycle has been VERY regular (moreso than before I was pregnant, not counting when I was on the pill), every 28 or sometimes 29 days long. It was due Friday or Saturday and it STILL isn't here. I POAS Saturday evening, then Monday morning with FMU. BFNs both times.

I have been temping out of curiosity for the past few months and I'm pretty sure I ovulated about a week before Valentine's day. My temps are still high, too. I don't know what's going on!  I don't feel PMS-y (or pregnant) at all.

Anyone have any ideas? I haven't been overly stressed or anything else that would screw me up, I don't think. How many more days would you wait for it to come before you'd POAS again?

  • How many days in a row have your temps been high?

  • I see you are on a diet, are you exercising more?  Sometimes when you exercise more it will change up your period schedule.  I've been working out more since Jan 1 and my 2 this month have been off a few days.
  • I have absolutely no advice, but almost the exact same thing is happening to me. I have always had a 28 day cycle, and it is late this month. I was freaking out (as we are 2 and done and DH's big V is scheduled), so had DH pick up a test on the way home yesterday. It was a BFN though (although it was at night), so I am way confused. I have been stressed, so I'm going with that theory for now.

  • My AF was super regular before I got pregnant.  After I weaned DS, it went back to it's regular 28 day cycle for 3 months or so, and then it went all haywire and I was on a 41 day cycle for a while. So, there have been several times that I thought I might be pregnant again. I don' know what causes it, but I assume it's normal for your cycle to be off some after you have a baby

  • I would POAS today, then again tomorrow and the next day.
  • Re: exercise, I was. I haven't done it in awhile (tsk tsk on me). I don't think that's affecting it. SarahMay, I can't access my chart at work. I had a pretty obvious ovulation dip/spike, then my temps were below the coverline from about 4 to 7 days DPO (it was a cold snap and I woke up chilly every morning so I think that's what caused that). It's been well above the coverline for more than a week.

  • CD50 here. I feel you, and it sucks.

I wasn't temping this month past CD15 though, Jack was sick and sleeping irregularly. BFN every time.

FWIW, I had a two-day temp dip around days 6 & 7 of the cycle we conceived DD.  It sounds like youre temps have been over the cover line for a while.  I'd POAS again tomorrow or Thursday.  My BFP was very, very light for 4 days in a row when I tested with DD.  My temps were what gave it away.  Do you know what the usual # of days are between O day and AF?  That usually doesn't vary by more than a day.

  • Ihave had AF cramps for the past month. I stopped taking my BCP. I had AF last week and now I'm at the beginning of a new cycle and I still have cramps. i have no idea what is going on either and I always know what is going on with my cycle.

Ack! Truthfully, I have baby fever, but we weren't planning on TTC again until the summer. I'm not sure, I THINK usually 14 to 15 days. I'm REALLY confused.

  • I can't help except to say that with G, I was 14DPO, D was 15 DPO and baby3 was 17 DPO when I got the bfp.

Also, what are you peeing on? I'd get a digital and wait until Friday. Try to put it out of your mind until then, because stress doesn't help, kwim?

I grabbed the first test I could find, a store brand Rite Aid or CVS (I forget). It was a blue dye test and not so much as ghost lines. Usually I buy the dollar tree ones.

blue dye tests are notoriously sucky. And I didn't get a bfp on a dollar tree test until I was 21+ DPO.

Still, it could just be a weird kind of month and nothing more than that. ::shrugs::

  • Yeah, I was in a hurry and didn't even notice they were blue dye til after I got them.

  • I had one random 38 day cycle a while back for no reason. The rest of mine are 27-29 days. I think it just happens every once in a while.

Digital tests are way less sensitive than line tests. I didn't get a + on a digi until about 15DPO when I got a BFP on a $tree test at 9DPO. I wouldn't want to waste the money.
