Trying to Get Pregnant

dyson pet vacuum question.. since it's the most rec.

I don't have a pet, but I think I shed more than any pet I've ever had. My hair is around 14 inches long and is EVERYWHERE!! I've tried a lot of vacuums but they all get jammed and die bc of my long hair getting tangled in the brushes and tubes. Does anyone have a long haired pet (not expecting someone to have a pet with hair as long as mine) or does anyone with this vacuum have a shedding problem like I do and find that this vacuum works well?? TIA.

Re: dyson pet vacuum question.. since it's the most rec.

  • There are these rake type things that are really good for brushing hair out of carpets prior to vacuuming. I would suggest this.

The best way to prevent unnecessary vac murder is getting as much hair prior to cleaning.  I have the same problem and this most recent vac has lasted a little longer, but it might be on its way out. Good luck.

  • I have one and have 3 cats (2 long haired, 1 short).  It works really well to get up all the hair but my DH has to clean out the brushes every once in a while.  I swear by the dyson though... pet version or not:)  Love it!

  • Late to this but wanted to add -- I have about 22 in fairly long hair and I have the O.G. Dyson, whatever the grandad of all the spin-offs is -- I LOVE IT.  I shed like I don't know what - my hair is everywhere.  I've killed many vacuums with my hair but this one is still kicking after 3 years.  We've occasionally unravelled my hair from the "beater bar" but not due to loss of function - just proper care.  I also have two short hair dogs that bring dirt, plus dust -- it gets a good workout.  I highly recommend it.  Good luck!
