Hello! I am on bed rest for high blood pressure (darn high stress jobs) and well ... bored. I don't claim to be a pregnancy guru but happy to answer questions based on my experiences if you have any.

Hey! I went to Delaware! Is that wedding pic taken on campus? Looks like it! Anyway, no question really just wanted to say hello to a fellow UD person. Sorry about the bed rest but hoping you get plenty of rest and don't go stir crazy!
How much are you peeing? Because I swear to god, I might kill someone if I don't sleep through the night soon.
Haha well I wasn't actually that bad in the 1st tri but man come the end of the 2nd into the 3rd I am a pro at walking in the dark. I range from getting up 2-3 times a night. Of course it only makes it worse that you will keep water next to you at night to chug.

Actually, I have a couple that I could probably find, but am too lazy to look up ? 1) When do you actually start to feel the baby move?? I do know that it varies from person to person.? I was thinking around 20 weeks, but really have no idea. 2) Is the NT scan done at 12 weeks part of the quad screening or are these 2 separate tests?? 3)? Is there anything that you wish you had known or that someone had told you before you experienced it?? Ex: I asked my sister in law this and she told me that she had discharge of all colors of the rainbow throughout.? If she hadn't told me this, I would freak if it happened to me.? Thanks and hope you and the little one gets lots of rest and time goes by quickly for you!

1) When do you actually start to feel the baby move?
1st time I think I was about 19 weeks. DH couldn't feel her move until much later (was actually during the world series that he felt her kick for the 1st time so he was really proud of his little Yankee's fan ).
2) Is the NT scan done at 12 weeks part of the quad screening or are these 2 separate tests?
2 separate exams; I only had an NT Scan done.
3) Is there anything that you wish you had known or that someone had told you before you experienced it?
YES!!!! I began to develop a pain in my right hip to inner groin that made it very painful to walk for around an hour (like hitting the mall) to the point where I HAD to sit down. This progressed to hurting when putting pants on, to rolling over in bed (I have to lift myself with our headboard to assist), getting up, etc. I thought it was regular RLP and then just the pubic bones starting to spread apart with the relaxin hormones. Well apparently there is a condition called Syphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) that is basically when your body continues to produce this hormone. By the time I found it and realized how much it matched my symptoms it was too late for them to test me for it.
Unfortunately there is not much they can do to "treat it" but you could find relief in a belt that helps to push the bones inward a bit so they dont keep separating. I am at the point where I could be walking and my right hip literally feels like it drops from under me very randomly, so I always have to walk near a wall/hold banisters. If you notice you're having that groin kind of pain in the 2nd tri - bring this up to your OB as it is often overlooked and can be quite painful.
Also wish I knew about kidney stone pain before this pregnancy. During my 17th week I woke up with HORRIBLE right side pain. It wrapped around my waist and a little into my chest. I went to OB Triog and ends up I had a 6mm kidney stone stuck in my right ureter with was blocking the urine up in my kidney and I almost went into kidney failure as a result. I had to have a stent placed in and it has been wedging the stone ever since, which has caused lots of UTIs and bladder infections from it cutting me. So I guess point is any side pain that is intense think about how much you have been using the bathroom and quantity you have been outputting. Had I known about this I may have caught on more to my frequent trips with not a lot of urine coming out.

Re: Ask a 3rd tri'er
Yes I had my reception at Clayton Hall.
I am surprised with the lack of questions. I had a ton when I was in 1st tri.
seems like there are quite a few second/third time moms on the board, so that could be why
No questions- i have been there done that already.
GL with the rest of your bedrest and pregnancy.
