pin or other makeup people

I'm so sad. So I think I have pinkeye because I pretended to put eyeshadow on DS the day he started showing signs of pinkeye (obviously it was before his eyes started getting goopy) and my makeup brush and probably the eyeshadow I've been using since is now infected.

I know I can clean the brushes, but can the eyeshadow be salvaged? Or do I just need to toss it? Of course I've been using my favorite colors and I really don't want to have to get rid of them if I can help it.

Re: pin or other makeup people

  • totally butting into this post b/c I'm too lazy to make another one.....did you call the Dr last week? Are you feeling better?

And for the eye shadow, could you just scrape off the top layer of it, maybe?

  • Not sure it is the "right" answer but whenever I have had pink eye I don' throw my makeup away.  I clean the brushes and stop using my makeup as soon as I find out I have pink eye.  I may buy new mascara only because I use a cheap one (Loreal or something) but the rest of it is way too much $$ to throw away.

  • ouch! Sorry. I don't throw mine away either. I clean the brushes and wipe off my make up. I usually take paper towel and pass over the top of the eyeshadow 2 times.

    I do replace my mascara.

  • Thanks everybody!
