Any good ideas on what to get best friend when baby is born?

Just looking for some ideas for a special gift. I am going to get her a bunch of baby clothes and I am also making a little framed gift with the baby's name & stats on it. Any other ideas? It's my best friend, who is like a sister to me, so just want to do some special things for her.

    I would do meals before clothes, you always end up with so many clothes.

    Is it her first baby?  You could do a "baby necessities" basket with medicine, diapers, etc.  Clothes are fun, but you do get a ton of them with your first.

    My aunt got us one of these for DS and then I got two for my BFF's twins when they were born.  I thought it was a cute, unique baby gift.

    Meals if she's close is always appreciated.  Or GC to restaurants if she's too far away.  

    And ask her what she needs.  I'm getting (working on it), my BFF a jumperoo for the twins b/c that's what she needed/wanted.  I can't remember what I got her with her first.  Might have even gone off her registry.  I'm godmother for one of the twins and she's DD#1's godmother.  We've been friends since we were about 12 or 13, but she lives in Philly and I'm Texas so I couldn't do anything that I delivered.

    You could always look on etsy for something personalized, unique and cute. I also give Robeez to my good friends because I loved them so much :)

    Oh I do plan on bringing some meals over to her the first few weeks, sorry should have mentioned. I know about the clothes but that's what she said she needs. So I was gonna get her some 3-6 months clothes for him.

    I got her the carseat they reg for at her shower. This is just for when the baby arrives, I wanna bring some things to the hospital.

    We give an alphabet block to every new baby we know and it's always a big hit.

    Just across the line in NJ.  Deptford, I think?  Works in downtown Philly.  We grew up in Massachusetts and kinda scattered from there.  DH almost took a job in MD last month and I was so excited b/c we'd be less than 2 hours apart, but it didn't work out.  Crying  The twins were hard b/c I flew up when she had her DD with the girls and helped her for a week.  We'd planned for me to come for another week or two with the girls with the twins, but then I got PG with DS and was due 8 weeks after her.  I don't travel in the third tri and was on bedrest when I was supposed to be up there.  I even missed the christening and we had to have a proxy. Sad Hopefully I can get up there this Spring even if I have to go just DS and me.

    I absolutely love the necklaces from thevintagepearl.com. I ordered the Heart & Circle one for my best friend who is due any day now with #2. Hopefully it gets here before the baby does!

    When Malone was born my BF gave me a box of those huge Always pads with wings, witch hazel, huge granny panties, and some Aleve.

    And I loved her even more because of it.
