7 month old feeding schedule

What is your feeding schedule for your 7 month old - how do you space out the bottes and how much cereal/fruit/veggies are you giving at each feeding?

Re: 7 month old feeding schedule

  • He'll be 7 months on March 2nd and our feedings are every 3-4 hours during the day, he gets about 4-5 ounces in a bottle or BF's if I am home. In the morning he gets cereal mixed with fruit and for dinner he gets a fruit or veggie or a mix. He just started sleeping 8 hours at night so we get in about 6 bottle/breast feedings per day and two solids meals.

  • Four six ounce bottles around 6:30, 10:00, 2:00, and 6:00.  Solids around 9:00 and 1:00 (and sometimes 5:00 too).  Solids consist of oatmeal (1 oz. formula with enough cereal for consistency and 1-2 oz. fruit/veggie).

  • Typical weekday schedule, he gets bottles at daycare and nurses at home:

6 am - wake up and nurse

    8:30 - 6 oz. bottle EBM

    9:15 - 2-3T cereal and 2 oz. fruit/veggie

    11:30 - 6 oz. bottle EBM

    2:30 - 6 oz. bottle EBM

    5:30 - nurse

    6:15 2-3T cereal and  2 oz. fruit/veggie + finger foods

7:30 - nurse to bed (brief, stop when getting sleepy to put down)

Sometimes there' also an early morning nursing session, around 2-3am.

  • This is not a strict schedule, but seems to be what she prefers:

    6am - BF

    8am - fruit (3-4 oz)

    10 am - bottle

    12 pm - veggie (3-4 oz)

    2pm - bottle

    4pm - BF

    5:30 pm - veggie (3-4 oz)

    7pm - BF

plus a totally unpredictable number of comfort feedings through the night. :(

  • 6:30/7ish- Nurse

    8ish-cereal and fruit

    10- nurse

    1230ish nurse

    1- vegetable and meat

    2:30/3ish nurse

    5ish nurse

    5:30 cereal and vegetable

    6:30 nurse

    10 nurse

And I have no idea how much they nurse throughout the night.  It's a lot, but I am barely awake!

ETA:  No idea how much BM they get in a feeding and as for solids, I pump for 3-4 minutes and however much BM I get I use to thin out their food, so I don't know how much they actually eat!
