**Fallen Off The Wagon Check In**

Hi everyone...sorry the check-in is a little late- DH and I had to run out of town for a tax errand and we just got home a few minutes ago. Hope everyone had a great Friday and is looking forward to a productive & healthy weekend!

I had some ice cream tonight but...I danced for over and hour so I think it balances out...right??? How was your day? Are you all looking forward to the weekend? We are going to make Chinese food tomorrow night but a healthy version!

Re: **Fallen Off The Wagon Check In**

  • I got a stomach virus (from my DH) and the illness made me fall off the wagon and hit the bottom of a ravine (so to speak).  I have not been back on a scale, but plan to get back on track ASAP now that I am feeling better.

  • Ooh, I have an awesome Chinese recipe for chicken lo mein!

Slice up some chicken breasts and fry them in a little sesame oil. Then add 1/4 cup Kraft Asian Sesame dressing and green onions. When it's hot, add 1 cup low sodium beef broth and 1 tbsp smooth peanut butter and stir until blended. Add a little cornstarch to thicken.

While you're doing this, boil half a package of whole wheat spaghettini and drain. Add a bag of frozen Asian veggies to the sauce and then pour in the pasta and stir well until the sauce coats the noodles and veggies. Serve while it's hot!

I've had a stressful day. Matthew's been crying a lot so I just got my dinner now (quarter after ten). I think he's teething, poor little guy. I haven't had anything extra but I know stress retains water. I also missed my workout as a result. Oh well- if it shows on the scale this week, it'll come off next week.

  • I had a pretty good day...until SIL & I made brownies for DH and we each nailed 3 of them. Urgh. But I did do about 4 hours of housework - that must've burned some calories right?!

I also got the cast taken off my arm today, which I thought would be a good thing, but it's still painful and weak and I can't straighten it. I s'pose it was a little naive to think that it would only take a week to fix a fractured elbow. So I'm still not going to be able to work out for a while. :(

  • Hope you all have a great weekend, it's supposed to be nice here so I'm looking forward to some outside time...

I'm planning on a jog/walk in the am and we'll see what Sun (my B-day) brings. Probably not the best day for eating well, but I'll try.
