Taking dd to the doctor after all.

Earlier this morning I was still hesitant about whether she really needed to be seen, but in the last hour or two she's still sleeping/lethargic, wakes occasionally just to cry and flutter her eyes, then goes back to sleep. She hasn't had anything to eat or drink since yesterday and hasn't even peed once yet today. She's cold, clammy, and pale. Something with her just isn't right.

Her appointment isn't until later this afternoon, hopefully she's okay until then.

Re: Taking dd to the doctor after all.

  • I do hope she feels better.  I think taking her in is a good idea. I was reading the other post about healthcare.  I wish my area had some of those walk-in weekend type places.  We have the doctor (closes at 5) or the ER and nothing in between.  On weekends and holidays, just the ER.

Same here. There is a walk-in clinic at the big pediatric practice in town but they won't see dd since she is not their patient (she sees a different doctor in a town an hour away.)

Actually, there is one of those MinuteClinics here too that *just* opened. I'll keep that in mind for future use...

  • I think you are wise to bring her in. Be sure to update.
