SIL is Pregnant

My brother just called to tell me my SIL is pregnant.  She is also one of my best friends.  I'm sure she didn't want to call me and tell me herself because she felt bad.  This will be their first child.  I hung up the phone and just started crying.  I'm really happy for them, it just hurts so bad.

    I got that phone call about two months ago.  This will be their second, and they tried for about a year and a half.  I'm really happy for them, but so sad for us.  I really have no advice on handling this because I'm still not handling it myself.  But know that you're not alone.

    It is so, so tough to watch people around you announce pregnancies.  I wish all it took was to drink the water!  ((hugs))

    I'm so sorry.  It's hard to take, even if it's someone you love and know will be a good parent.  It's not fair that it can't be us too right now.

    I actually mentioned to DH the other day that I'll be kind of sad if his sister gets pregnant before we do.  They got married about 6 months before us (a little over 3 years for them) so I'm not sure when they are planning to TTC.  Maybe they already are, but they definitely weren't trying when I had my 1st m/c a year ago.

    I'm sorry. I know that feeling. When my SIL told DH she was pg again I just started bawling too. Even though we're happy for them, it still hurts.  (((hugs)))
