surveys for money

Anyone else here do these?? I have signed up with about 10 companies to do them and would be open to any suggestions of other companies that you would recommend to add to my list.

I've only been doing them for about 11 days and I've made like $30 so if anyone's interested in doing them I'll put a blog post together of the companies I'm using.

Re: surveys for money

  • I keep trying to do surveys, but I start them and then it tells me I'm not eligible for that particular survey.  Frustrating.

  • I've always wondered if these are for real and actually send you money.  Which ones have you done?

I've been wondering the same thing

  • I'm totally interested if it's legit. I'm a student/SAHM and anything helps!
  • Do you think the money is worth the time invested?  How long did it take you to earn that $30?

Well I signed up on a bunch of sites but the main ones I seem to do surveys for daily are Opinion Outpost, Daily Survey Panel, and Clear Voice Surveys.

I was really skeptical at first but I decided to give it a try, tried several companies because they all work a little bit differently, and I got to request my first check a few days ago. It says that checks can take 4-8 weeks to arrive but it came in the mail yesterday so that was my final proof that it does really work.

It is time consuming at first and not the best option for everyone, you certainly won't be making millions doing it but a little extra cash here and there to fill up the gas tank is great for sure!

yes this happens to me probably 70% of the time, but I just keep hitting "try another survey" on the sites that allow you to do so and keep trying until I get one or two. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But this is why I like the sites who send you qualified surveys based on your profile info, that way you already pre-qualified.

Right now it's kind of a toss up because getting everything started and learning how to use each site is definitely time consuming. I'm sure if I broke it down I'd be making horrible money per hour spent right now. BUT, the more you do them the better you get at it, the more you learn each company, and you learn how to answer the "qualifying" questions so that you don't get booted out.

And certain companies pay a lot better than others. I would say that I take the surveys periodically throughout the day so it takes up a lot of my time right now, but I'm able to do it that way since I work on the computer anyway. But I think you could definitely save them all up for the evening and spend 1 full hour a day and get some good results for your time. That way it isn't occupying your entire day.

I have signed up for a lot.  I do get paid to "read" emails from 2 companies.  All you do is click on the link and get credited.  A way to earn pennies anyway and they do do surveys (if you qualify).

I'm glad inboxdollars seems to be legit. FI signed up for this last night and I've been thinking about signing up as well.

  • I don't do surveys for money, but I do market research whenever I qualify... I spent about 20 minutes this afternoon playing with toilet paper, and got $15 right there... I've also done a food study for $50 for about half an hour (out of town, though, but not too far away), and $60 for a 3 day study of liquid laundry detergent... and another $15 for toilet paper. DH did some studies, too.. his favorites so far was the french fry study for $60 over 3 days, and the chewing gum study for $15 for about 20 minutes.
