Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Ugh...up all night with a vomiting / pooping baby :(

I called the on - call pedi (who I think was pissed that I called in the middle of the night for about a kid who is just throwing up).  She said it's just the stomach flu....but I feel bad there isn't anything I can do for him and he can't keep anything down except a little pedalyte (sp?).

  • Poor baby :(

Make sure you keep an eye on the soft spots on his head.  If they become sunken in, then he's dehydrated.  Keep pushing the pedialyte.  Good luck and hang in there.

  • Thanks, I've been trying to get more of it in him. On the plus side, he's not acting sick, he is laughing and playing with toys.
  • we had the same thing last week at my house... except it was my 14 month old instead of my 3 month old (luckily - although of course it was still pretty bad - and sad).  She's able to snack on real foods though and was back to her normal eating habits after about 24 hours.  Before that she pretty much lived on just pedialyte.

  • I feel your pain! My LO just got over it and now I have it.  No fun, but over within a few days.  Watch out for the next stage of diarrhea.   DD went through 6 outfits about 3 days into it.
